Reunions provide the perfect opportunity to reconnect with St. Francis High School and your classmates. The weekend is made most successful by our group of devoted alumni volunteers who assist in recruiting attendees to the event. Throughout the year, with help from the Alumni & Development Office, volunteers reach out to the St. Francis community to encourage participation in a weekend full of excitement and memories.
We are looking for class representatives from each class in their reunion year to help organize and plan their class reunion. Please consider volunteering for your reunion this year. Contact Ginny Tyrrell, Director of Alumni Relations. 502-736-1013 or tyrrell@stfrancishighschool.com. Thank you!

Reunion 2009
August 8, 2009 St. Francis High School welcomed back the classes of 1979-1985, as well as 1999, for a reunion dinner at the school. The joining of classes next to each other proved to be a great success and everyone had a great time catching up and flipping through the yearbooks to their younger selves.
Many of the attendees had participated in the alumni picnic and games at St. Francis School earlier that day playing soccer and field hockey or watching their once classmates from the cool shade of a tree. I am happy to report that the veteran alumni soccer team is still undefeated, 4-3, and with twenty-five players they decided to play another half against each other. The alumni field hockey team has not as yet reached the same success and although they played well and hard, in the end they were defeated. The combination of alumni, students, parents, friends, teachers, and children make the picnic one of our favorite alumni events every year and we look forward to August 2010!
4th Annual Wyverns New York Holiday Celebration
For the past four years, staff from St. Francis High School have headed north for an alumni holiday party held at Von Wine Bar in the East Village of New York City. Saturday December 6th, Head of School and alumna Alexandra S. Thurstone ’84 and Director of Alumni Relations Ginny Tyrrell attended the 4th Annual “Wyverns in New York Holiday Party” hosted by Kareem Bunton '90 (musician), 'Rob Kemp '89 (musician), Adam Sachs '88 (freelance travel journalist, formerly of Conde Nast), and Bill Schreiber '88 (Director of Event Marketing for the New York Times.)
Despite having only a little over 1100 total alums, a large portion of SFHS alums – 140 or so – have settled in the northeast area. Attendees came from all over including Boston, Hartford, CT, Brooklyn, and New York City, and ranged from the Classes of ’84 to ’03. The room filled with friends new and old catching up and making new connections. The careers of the alums in attendance were a good example of the diversity of interests among St. Francis graduates: Elaine Musselman ’84, artist and yoga instructor; Deutsche Bank marketing professional Sarah Reifsteck ’93; artist and MFA Art Professor at the Art School at the University of Hartford Silvia Ruzanka ’93; Charley Miller ’96, NYU MS in computer programming and gaming and soon-to-be dating website company owner (1-09 launch); Josh Chapman ’98, Spiewak clothing and uniforms Art Director and Director of Marketing; Maggie Bennett ’01, ballet dancer and choreographer; and Bill Wells ’03, a management consultant at Alvarez & Marshall Consulting, among many others.
This particular reunion marks a homecoming for many alums who do not get the chance to return to Louisville for our local reunions and is well attended each year with graduates who are interested in learning what is going on with St. Francis.
