Juscelino Colares '84

Juscelino is spending a year in Paris as a clerk at France's Constitutional Court and visiting professor at Ecole normale supérieure at the office at the Conseil Constitutionnel. A member of the faculty of Syracuse University College of Law, Juscelino is the inaugural Cornell Fellow on U.S. Law, and as such is the first law clerk ever to assist the Justices of the Conseil Constitutionnel, France's supreme constitutional court.  He brought his entire family along and Julia, his eldest daughter, 15, is speaking French fluently.  He often speaks to hear about how much tougher and incredibly instructive it was for him to leave Brazil to Louisville in 1983.  He has many fond memories of Saint Francis and loved the learning environment he was exposed to at the time. Juscelino (Juice) and his family will move back to the States this July.
