In order to be considered for admission to St. Francis High School, applicants must complete a student visit and submit the following items to the Director of Admissions. Admissions decisions are made by a Committee comprised of faculty and staff members that does not include the Director of Admissions. Students submitting complete applications by January 15 will be notified of decisions by February 12, 2010. Applications received after this date will be evaulated in a timely manner as space remains available in each grade level.
1. STUDENT VISIT
All applicants are required to shadow a current student during the school day as part of the admission process. (Exceptions made for out-of-town and summer applicants.) Prospective parents are also encouraged to tour the school and meet with staff members to learn more about our unique school environment. Parent tours and shadow days should be scheduled on different dates.
2. APPLICATION FORM
The fully completed application form is submitted to the Admissions Office along with a current photograph and the $50 Application Fee payable to St. Francis High School. (PDF version of this form is located in the orange box on this page.)
3. APPLICATION SUPPLEMENT
To be completed in the student’s own handwriting after visiting the school. (PDF version of this form is located in the orange box on this page.)
4. TEACHER RECOMMEDATIONS
The school requires two teacher recommendations to be completed by current or recent teachers and submitted to the school. At least one recommendation must be from a core subject teacher. (PDF version of this form is located in the orange box on this page.)
5. STUDENT TRANSCRIPT that includes grades from the last two school years.
6. STANDARDIZED TEST SCORES from at least the last two school years. This includes in-school standardized testing and any additional tests such as ACT and SAT.
7. COPY OF PSYCHOLOGICAL TESTING (optional)
If the student has ever been assessed for learning differences or other psychological reasons related to learning, submit a copy of test results along with the application.
